Videoconferencing Engineer

Projektbeschreibung

We're looking for a VIDEOCONFERENCING ENGINEER capable of installing and programming videoconference codecs. The candidate in this contract position will be setting up, testing, operating, and tearing down audio/visual and videoconference equipment (eg video data projection systems, computers, audio and videoconference equipment, microphones, video cameras, audio systems, and operation of integrated AV systems).

OVERVIEW

- Perform third level problem determination for videoconference equipment and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot, assess, and coordinate equipment and systems repairs as required.
- Execute all aspects of videoconferencing including call set up, end user training, troubleshooting, and follow through on escalation of trouble incidents occurring during call.
- Lead or assist, as required, with the support (hands-on if necessary) of special events, high profile Senior Executive meetings, town halls requiring videoconferencing, as directed by the client.
- Interface with technology vendors for equipment servicing, training, etc. whether warranty or routine maintenance.
- Manage all technical work on live and video-on-demand webcast events.
- Manage media files on network Servers for distribution on the Cisco Content Delivery Network (CDN).
- Monitor media content services of Cisco Content Distribution Manager and work with network services group to correct issues.
- Provide telepresence support for Meet and Greets and level 1 troubleshooting.
- Provide project management for the installation of new AV and VTC equipment.
- Design and implement involvement in client audiovisual facilities.
- Coordinate installation, troubleshooting, and activation of communications lines (eg, ISDN, IP, etc.) as required.
- Maintain usage statistics, issue and repair logs, or other collection/reporting systems.
- Create, update, and resolve trouble tickets as assigned as well as monitoring queue.
- Provide training and client support to end users in the operations of audio/visual systems.
- Compile and maintain room and equipment inventory for the client's global database.
- Coordinate audio/visual activities with other client vendors as required (eg Company/Department Communication Meetings, Special Events, etc.).
- Understand and adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Create and modify user documentation and standard operation procedures as required.
- Provide technical consultation, support, and act as lead contact for all videoconferencing operations and maintenance.
- Interact in person, by phone, and/or e-mail directly with client management and end users.
- Recommend measures to improve performance and increase efficiency.
- Keep abreast of current technology.

This contract position is expected to be 12 months in duration.
