Video Production Assistant Job

VIDEO PRODUCTION ASSISTANT needed for a LONG TERM CONTRACT opportunity with SAP AMERICA located in NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA.

THE BIG PICTURE:

The main responsibility of the role will be to edit various types of video productions according to the project requirements, following the SAP brand, and completing the projects in a timely and professional manor. Secondary responsibilities will be to manage live broadcasts via our in-house broadcasting platform and operating studio equipment and web encoders.

Top Skills Should You Possess:
- Final Cut Studio 3
- Final Cut Pro
- Previous Production Experience

What You'll Be Doing:
- Assisting in live events and other productions as necessary including camera operator, teleprompter operator, production assistance, and limited project managing.
- Maintaining proper operation of the Macintosh editing facilities.
- Project workflow enhancements and documentation.
- Archiving of raw footage and projects.
- JavaScript development of internal applications and tools to enhance broadcasts, workflows and internal processes (if applicable skills are possessed).
- Working in a deadline driven, coordinated team environment.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Three (3) plus years of working with the entire Final Cut Studio 3 suite of software.
- One (1) plus Years of experience working in a television studio or similar production environment.
- Bachelors or specialized degree in film/video, communications, media production or related discipline.
- Strong skills in Final Cut Pro X, and Motion a must.
- Knowledge of encoding video for web streaming and Akamai a plus.
- Knowledge of Macintosh and Windows operating systems, ability to maintain and troubleshoot desired.
- Professional knowledge of video formats and video compression types.
- Professional level written and oral communication skills with a strong alignment to customer service.
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
- Working knowledge of a wide range of video production equipment and manufactures.
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative portfolio with previous video samples.
