Video Games Software Design Engineer

We're looking for an experienced SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (SDE) to join the team in a hands-on role creating new HUD and UI elements and screens. This position is a rare opportunity to work on a new IP title.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

- Integrate and enhance game modes, screens, HUD elements and more.
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and other programmers to deliver new experiences, game modes, and features
- Consult on a regular basis with project leadership to align expectations and deliverables
- Excel at cross-functional collaboration and leadership
- Multitask between projects and teams fluidly

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- 2+ years of video game programming experience, shipping multiple titles
- Proven software design, programming, debugging, and optimization skills in C++, C#, and Scripting languages (LUA)
- UI engineering experience on a shipped, current generation AAA console game
- Understanding of UI/UX/usability conventions, tools and workflow
- Proficiency in Flash, Scaleform, AS3, CSS, JavaScript, LUA
- Ability to collaborate with technical leaders on the UI team and peers across all UI disciplines
- Passion for console and motion gaming and entertainment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivation and drive for excellence
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
