Video Engineer

VIDEO ENGINEER

Our client, a telecom company, is looking for a Video Engineer to join their growing team. This role is based in their office in Amsterdam. The duration of this contract is 6 months.

Your new challenge as a Video Engineer:

In this function within the Video engineering department to design and build your interactive video services on different platforms such as linear TV (analog and digital), On Demand (TVOD, SVOD, PPV) and Over-The-Top

- You develop and maintain sophisticated and advanced interactive video services;
- You implement Back End systems for different platforms. New platforms are developed by the parent company and its strategic suppliers we work with active;
- You follow new technological developments closely, you are able to test the usability and apply. You answer proposals of product marketing for new services, writes engineering plans and answer requests for customized engineering solutions;
- Your support operational departments with advice and technical escalations.

Your department

Video Engineering team is responsible for network architecture, capacity and end-to - end service availability for our customers. The department develops products and services for consumers, business customers and other cable and telecom companies. The department also liaise with other engineering departments for Data/IP/Transport, Video Operations, Product Marketing and Technical Facilities.

Your Profile

- University of HBO working and thinking;
- General knowledge of telecommunications/IP/Video techniques;
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar position;
- Experience with project-based approach can be independently set up small projects/realize;
- Knowledge and/or experience with the following platforms is a plus: CCNA, DVB- C;
- Independent, flexible, customizable and analytical thinking;
- Willing to work outside office hours.
