VHDL FPGA Engineer

I have an urgent Contract Firmware Engineer requirement with a Global leading Defence Engineering Company.

My client is looking for a Contract Firmware Engineer with an experience of VHDL design and implementation of complex functions and algorithms.

The suitable candidate will have these responsibilities:
*VHDL design and implementation of complex control and comms functions
*VHDL design and implementation of algorithms
*Integration of implemented algorithms onto the target platform.
*Design of testbenches

Required skills:
*VHDL design experience for FPGA design
*VHDL simulation/test benches
*FPGA synthesis
*FPGA timing constraint experience
*HDL Designer or Author
*Xilinx Virtex, Spartan, place and route, timing analysis

It is important that the ideal candidate has a proven track record of working in a structured development process environment with a formal qualification.
