Vertical Launch Subsystem (VLS) RMO
Management of the MLV ("Module de Lancement Verticale" - vertical launch module)

Intelligent Customer Programme to:
Reduce reliance on DCNS (Defence Core Network Services)
Reduce costs by reducing DCNS Corrective Maintenance visits
Increase Ship availability by having "on-tap" expertise in the UK
Enhance client reputation with the customer.
Support to Quality network and technical meetings and process workshops with VLS Design Authority and their French subcontractors as required. The ability to understand exchanges between parties and to converse fluently, in French and Italian is desirable, but not essential.
Identification, investigation and proposal of technical options for the improvement of VLS system reliability, quality, cost and resolution of design issues
Engagement and management of key subcontractors to ensure through-life supportability and supply-chain integrity.
Programme and Technical Management of the VLS Inspection/Retrofit Programmes in conjunction with French and Italian subcontractors.
Management of the creation of a UK re-work facilities
Technical management of on-board T45 ship investigations utilising the Waterfront Team
Provide Technical expertise on emergent VLS issues including liaison where necessary with technical experts in materials/mechanical/electrical functions
Technical management of VLS Technical advisor and graduate electronics/mechanical VLS Engineer.

Performance Indicators:

Skills and Knowledge:
Educational qualification to Degree level with several years' experience in electrical/mechanical engineering including root-cause investigations is essential.
Able to read and converse fluently in Italian and French is desirable (not essential)
Technical knowledge of Vertical Launch Systems, requirements and contractual context desirable
