Job Title: Vendor & Asset Management Analyst

Vendor & Asset management Analyst required to assist in implementing an IT Asset Management strategy and policy to allow the organisation to effectively manage all IT assets. To make more effective use of its IT assets, ensuring that assets were capable of being re-used to the maximum benefit of the organisation as well as reducing the risk of assets being lost or stolen without the appropriate measures in please to mitigate the risk.

Contractor duties include:

Allow Contracts and Licensing Team to undertake two new areas as below:

- Vendor Management

1. Implement phone Contract and enable business to view mobile telephony costs.
2. Implement Vendor Management Policy meeting structures and compile vendor portfolios
3. Assist in driving value and continual service improvement within contracts, working with the Contract and Licensing Manager
4. Obtain completed Supplier Dashboards for all IT vendors and work with all stakeholders to drive improvements.

- IT Asset Management

1. Compile an IT Asset Management register covering all the following elements contained within the IT Asset Management policy ensuring the following are included as a starting point:
a. Laptops
b. Laptop Accessories
c. Desktops
d. Servers and Storage
e. Mobile Telephony
f. Network devices

2. Work with the suppliers to ensure the relevant information is provided to keep the register up to date

3. Identify ways to maximise re-use of equipment and reduce procurement costs.

4. Work with the Design and Architecture team on IT Asset identification and value proposals

5. Work with the Endpoint team to identify ways to extend IT asset life through new ways of deploying/installing applications

Key Skills/ Experience

Experience in IT vendor engagement
Experience in IT asset management
Experience of using Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint for presentation and information recording.
