VDI Engineer - Initial 3 Month Contract - Macquarie Park

This expanding international organisation is currently seeking a VDI Engineer due to growth and upcoming project based work on an initial 3 month contract with a high chance to extend further!

In this role, you will be involved in assisting in the development of the organisations virtual services offering to their clients and playing an integral part in delivering all virtual desktop solutions! It will involve in managing VDI/SOE projects and providing 3rd level VDI/SOE suport and desktop related problems.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL MEET (OR NEARLY MEET) THE FOLLOWING KEY CRITERIA:

- Very good experience in technologies such as Windows 2008/2008 R2 RDS & Terminal Services
- Citrix XenApp skills and experience designing, installing, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting complex and large Citrix server farms
- Engineer-level skills supporting and troubleshooting the Citrix appliances.
- XenDesktop (VDI) - VMware ESX and Microsoft Hyper-V/SCVMM
- Engineer-level skills supporting and troubleshooting the Citrix client in a heterogeneous environment (Windows, Mac, and iOS)
- experience in SOE design, development and implementation covering technologies such as MDT, BDD, Win 7, Win XP, Apple MAC etc.
- Desktop management and deployment using CA Unicenter, Novell ZENWorks and MS SCCM (not all essential)
- Strong experience in Application Virtualisation such as App-V, Thin-App or XenApp
