VBA Developer/Programmer

Our Central Government client require three VBA Developer/Programmer/Small Systems Developer & Unit Testers to assist the team to successfully design, develop, test and implement new technical business systems into the business areas.

3 month contract role based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

- To develop, test and deliver a number of new technical business systems based on a specific design document.
- To make updates/changes to existing business systems based on specific requirements.
- To provide weekly updates on the delivery of such products, highlighting any risks or issues.
- To produce a comprehensive and accurate Technical Document to enable the ongoing support of each delivered product.
- To ensure that all VBA code used meets specific coding standards.
- To ensure that each product is delivered to agreed timescales.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- VBA programming skills, using MS Office 2003 and MS Office 2010 (mandatory)
- Experience in design, develop and testing a robust product based on specific design requirements (mandatory)
- Experience in producing Technical documentation. (desirable)
- Experience of working in a Central Government environment or similar (desirable)
