VB.NET Developer (Contract) - Cuyahoga Falls, OH

Beacon Hill Technologies has an opportunity for an experienced VB.NET Developer.  This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Translate user requirements and system objectives into logical, economical, and practical system designs. Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through gathering data, research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. Prepares detail specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debug documents and maintain those programs. Competent to work on most phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

- Minimum 4 years of IT experience in application programming using VB.NET.
- Knowledge of current computer technology including mobile technology.
- Practitioner or Agile and Object Oriented (OO) methodologies in the form of UML diagramming as well as in actual VB.NET coding
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server including Scripting.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing within the IT environment and within the functional area.
- Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and keep numerous projects on track.
- Experience developing and promoting industry best practices within the IT environment.
