VB.NET Developer (401k/Excellent Benefits)

Industry-leading company has an immediate need for a mid to senior-level .NET Developer on a direct hire basis. You will play an integral role in designing systems and applications for internal and external users and be a key component in the development process. In this position, your primary responsibility will be dealing with customer integrations. This means coding, testing and implementing new integrations as well as taking ownership of and maintaining existing ones. RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design and maintain BizTalk integrations (BizTalk not required) which will use EDI and Web-APIs.
- Prototype, Design, & Code major portions of WinForms and Console Applications based applications using Visual Studio .NET 2010 (VB.NET)
- Analyze application requirements and provide recommended technical design solutions which are efficient, scalable, maintainable and accurately meet business needs.
- Full SDLC experience developing large or complex systems
- Participate in resolving challenging and demanding problems within the production environment.
- Research and make recommendations on software tools, new approaches, and new technologies.

REQUIREMENTS:

- 5+ years experience in either VB.NET or C# ASP.NET. Company primarily uses VB.NET with new applications running on C#. Strong OOD/OOP experience.
- 2+ years EDI is a strong preference.
- 3+ years experience SQL Server 2005 and/or 2008 which includes developing and maintaining stored procedures, functions and triggers
- n-tier architecture development, ASP.NET development, C# and/or VB.NET, Windows and web services development experience
- Experience in developing in a team environment and work independently as needed.
- Able to understand business problems and resolve them and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be able to design and build Secure systems
- Strong analysis skills with a thorough understanding of application and infrastructure bottlenecks
- Experience supporting a production application to include deployments, troubleshooting, and tuning
