VB/SQL Senior Developer

LOCATION: DUBLIN, IRELAND.
JOB TYPE: CONTRACT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Software Engineering in either or both SDLC and/or Agile Environment.
- Establish & develop strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Deliver tailored results leveraging your technical competency and industry knowledge.
Must Have experience in:
VB6 AND HIGHER - SQL 2005 AND HIGHER - VB.NET - ACCESS 97 - CRYSTAL REPORTS.
KEY COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE
-Experience of working on both New-build and Maintenance programs in Banking or similar industries.
-Strong experience working with VB6/SQL 2005 DEVELOPMENTS.
-Familiarity with structured SDLC METHODOLOGIES.
-Experience in development practices including work estimation, testing and test automation, code review, code packaging.
-Experience of ensuring adherence to Architectural Policies and Standards (Compliance).
-Solid communication and team player skills with ability to actively participate in solution design and problem solving.
-Effectiveness in listening and understanding business objectives and translating this knowledge into coded solutions.
-Be able to understand and work with industry-standard architecture and design artifacts, models and notations.
