VAT Manager, VAT Technical Projects, Top Tier Bank

Our client, a top tier bank, has an urgent requirement for a VAT Manager. The role is specifically focused on providing VAT technical support on all property matters for the bank and also assisting on ad hoc VAT projects.

Responsibilities:
VAT technical input and project management on behalf of the UK VAT Team with respect to property matters and ad hoc VAT projects.

Responsibilities include:
*Project management of the specific work allocated and providing technical input where required;
*Dealing directly with the business within the scope of any project/transaction and/or the relevant VAT manager for that business line;
*Providing regular updates to the stakeholders for each project (where required) and provide regular updates to management;
*General VAT advice to any businesses within scope; and
*Identifying any opportunities for VAT savings/efficiencies, and commencing projects
*VAT technical work as part of any project or deliverable is required to be performed or reviewed by the project manager as required.

Additional support is to be provided to other VAT or Tax Team members on a case by case basis.

Essential
*Self-starter with strong project management skills who is capable to step into VAT technical projects;
*Understanding of VAT and systems;
*Strong technical skills - preferably CTA Qualified or 5 years experience within VAT;
*Experience within FS/Banking sector
