VAT Manager

My blue chip client is looking for a VAT Manager.

You will have a high level of VAT technical knowledge as well as keeping abreast of the tax consequences of frequently changing complex tax legislation and policy and changes in the business environment. Interaction with the business and frequent interaction with HM Customs and Excise, direct tax managers and external Tax Advisors, with a view to ensuring that a high level of compliance is maintained and at the same time that the most tax efficient and commercial solutions are provided to tax issues raised. You will be required to operate under the guidance of the Taxation FIM. You will also be required to ensure they are aware of their obligations under the Tax Transparency. You will have experience of VAT technical input and project management on behalf of the UK VAT Team with respect to property matters and ad hoc VAT projects. Project management of the specific work allocated and providing technical input where required. Additional support is to be provided to other VAT or Tax Team members on a case by case basis. Strong technical skills preferably CTA Qualified or 5 years experience within VAT.
