VAT Analyst (Indirect Tax) - Farnborough, Surrey - £210 per day

VAT ANALYST (INDIRECT TAX) - FARNBOROUGH - £210 PER DAY

Large international FMCG require an indirect tax analyst to work in at there Surrey HQ. The purpose of this role is to assist with the management of Indirect Tax and in particular, HQ VAT compliance and VAT Returns. This role will also include support in an advisory capacity dealing with queries from key customers across Europe and supporting the rest of the tax team on projects.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Assist in filing accurate and on time Indirect Tax compliance

Respond to VAT queries from all parts of the business

Ensure knowledge and expertise of European local indirect tax rules is up to date so as to ensure active participation in projects

EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

ESSENTIAL

- Reasonable VAT experience in advisory, preferably EU based

Ability to operate on own level and make decisions, with support where required

Excellent communication and planning skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities

- Ability to operate efficiently under continuous change

Strong deadline compliance orientation

- Analytical skills necessary but what is essential is data interpretation
- Attention to detail
- Flexibility as little routine, more ad hoc
- Willingess to think outside the box rather than just follow a process

This role is based in Farnbborough Surrey and offers a daily rate of 210 per day for an initial 6 months
