Validation Test Technician

VALIDATION TEST TECHNICIAN HILLSBORO, OR 18 MONTH CONTRACT

Our hugely successful client is looking for an experienced, self-motivated Windows Software Technician who understands Windows based platform testing, operating system setup and configuration, and general platform and OS debug.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Experience setting up and configuring Windows based computers preferably Windows 8 and 8.1
- Good understanding of Windows OS at a configuration and setup level
- Understand selecting and configuring BIOS setup, OS Device Manager, some understanding of setup logs
- Testing electronics hardware after provided with setup and instructions
- Ability to proactively identify and conduct tests to help expedite the debug and testing process
- Ability to analyze and debug issues when needed
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- 5-7 years of related work experience

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- Electronic rework skills (SMT soldering/unsoldering etc.) when required
- Debugging boards
- Experience in using schematic/PCB tools
- Using RF Test equipment
- Knowledge of using Windows debugger
