Validation Test Technician

VALIDATION TEST TECHNICIAN CHANDLER, AZ 12 MONTH CONTRACT

The candidate will be working in a validation team in a lab environment executing tests against a consumer electronics product (eg tablets, notebooks). The test environments the candidate will be using are Windows and Android platforms as the device under test. The candidate will be expected to oversee systems into rework, reconfigure hardware (be able to swap out processors, bios, add-in peripherals), setup test and debug equipment such as desktop systems for debug, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes. Additional tasks will be to execute a set suite of tests, track and collect test failures, and work with the engineering team in debug activities and reproducing all resulting failures.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Good knowledge of Windows (Client Server) and Linux OS
- Advanced HW platform debugging skills for 1st level triage
- Demonstrated ability to build a server/PC system from scratch (Windows/Linux)
- Demonstrated ability to debug issues with OS install, boot, and typical usage
- Must be detailed oriented to track test results and articulate issues

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- Working knowledge of Android such as navigating, installing packages, uninstalling applications
- Knowledge in Scripting language such as Perl, Python, or Shell
- Knowledge in C/C++/Java programming language
- Knowledge of oscilloscopes and/or logic analyzers
