Validation Technician - Night

Yoh has a twelve (12) month contract position for a VALIDATION TECHNICIAN to join our client in Austin, TX.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Validation Technician will be responsible for technical functions in support of engineering activities in validation, testing and detailed data collection.
- Validation Technician will be responsible for performing functions associated with semiconductor manufacturing, including:
- Setting up test related tools, operating equipment per specs, conducting Design of Experiments, collecting data, etc.
- Assist in performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and sustaining the test equipment. Assist in process improvement and meet high standard of safety, quality, productivity and cost.
- Validation Technician will also perform initial root cause of the issues encountered during testing.
- Validation Technician will often be required to rework boards, solder down fine pitch components

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- AS/BS in Electronics or Engineering Preferred
- Minimum two (2) plus years experience in similar or related role in Semiconductor Field.
- Candidate should have knowledge of Integrated Circuits, Electronics, schematics.
- Knowledge of tools such as ATE testers, Oscilloscope, Digital Multi-meter (DMM), etc, microscope is highly desired.
- Good PC skills and working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) are highly desired.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
- Four (4) plus years of experience with Board assembly/rework, oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, voltage meters and soldering.
- Strong understanding of debugging and SMT soldering skills required.
- Familiarity with SoC Peripherals (SD, eMMC, UART, I2C, SSP, I2S) protocols and industry compliance testing is highly desired
