Validation Technician (Multimedia & Imaging Product Testing) Job

VALIDATION ENGINEER (MULTIMEDIA AND IMAGING PRODUCTS TESTING) needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Hillsboro, OR.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Working as part of a team developing validation components for distributed computing involving audio, video, imaging and cloud technologies.
- The candidate will be responsible for DEVELOPING TEST TOOLS AND VALIDATING THE SOFTWARE COMPONENTS.
- He/she should be qualified to develop test automation tools for validating various interfaces across each of the components.
- You will also be responsible for DEVELOPING AND EXECUTING THE TESTS THAT VALIDATE THE PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS, document the test results and interact with the developers to ensure a quality product.
- The successful candidate will have a keen understanding of the software engineering and quality assurance process, possess good communication skills, be self-motivated and self-directed.
- Responsibilities also include ANALYSING HW/SW REQUIREMENTS, identifying potential problems early in the product life cycle and ensure product quality issues are resolved in a timely fashion.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- A BS/CS with 4/5 years as a software engineer and prior experience in testing multimedia and imaging products along with Middleware testing and debugging are minimum requirements.
- Proficiency in developing scripts, developing test harnesses, automated test suites.
- KNOWLEDGE OF COM, .NET, COMMUNICATION PROTOCOLS, MULTIMEDIA, CLOUD SERVICES, LOAD TESTING EXPERIENCE, PROGRAMMING IN C++/C#, JAVA AND PERL IS A PLUS.
- Experience in testing Android and IOS applications with the ability to isolate problem areas is highly desired.
