Validation Technician (HW Development/Validation) Job

VALIDATION TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Hillsboro, OR

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Validation Technician will be Supporting Component Validation activities such as setup and maintenance of test platforms, disposition of tests, and troubleshooting of test failures
- Validation Technician will Setup and configuration of test equipment and associated infrastructure necessary for test development and debug. Including but not limited to oscilloscopes, DC loading equipment, thermal imaging equipment, microscopes, function generators, manual soldering stations etc.
- Execute validation plans, debug, and rework activities as directed by validation staff.
- Communication of test data and technical issues to validation staff..
- Strong hand soldering skills - specifically but not limited to reworking surface mount components on printed circuit boards.
- Assisting with lab and inventory audits, purchasing, shipping, receiving, & procurement of equipment

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- VALIDATION TECHNICIAN NEED with three to five (3-5) years of experience in HW DEVELOPMENT/VALIDATION working directly with specialized test equipment and executing VALIDATION PLANS.
- Digital Bus (sequencing, serial communication) validation experience
- Voltage Regulator validation experience on platforms (related to the CPU, memory, and I/O).
- Strong understanding of oscilloscopes and how to use them
- Experience with AC and DC Load Tools and how to validate voltage regulators with them
- Experience with IC level thermal testing
- Experience with reworking motherboard components of various sizes (0201, 0402, 0603 capacitors/resistors/inductors, MOSFETs, etc.)
