Validation Engineer

A leading pharmaceutical and medical device company, located in Chicago, is in need of a Validation Engineer. The Validation Engineer will support the pharmaceutical side of the business. The Validation Engineer will have the following responsibilities: - Schedule and execute equipment requalifications - Coordinate and communicate all testing affected with functional groups and evaluate test results - Prepare and execute validation studies (utility, equipment, cleaning, process) - Operate Kaye validators - Calibrate thermocouples - Write IQ/OQ/PQ - Develop and improve validation program - Schedule and execute HEPA Filter and Critical Area - Program and operate test equipment The Validation Engineer must meet the following requirements: - B.S. in Science or Engineering field of study - 2-3 years experience in validation within the pharmaceutical industry - Experience writing reports, deviations or other technical documents - Strong understanding of IQ/OQ/PQ - Experience in cleaning and process validation (preferred but not required) - Aseptic experience (preferred but not required) - Hands on - Independent - Excellent communication skills This is a 6 month contract with the potential to become full time.
