V) Database Developer

Global Industry Leader is seeking an exceptional Database Developer to join an innovative professional services software team developing a Real Time, cross-platform server application as part of an enterprise loyalty solution for the retail industry. He or she will be a key contributor in the development process and will be given the opportunity to shoulder significant responsibility. He or she may have the opportunity to experience and work with the entire development cycle including application design, development, unit testing, integration testing, deployment, and customer support. The right candidate will be self-motivated, work independently with limited supervision, and have solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are also required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years' experience with database design and development using MS SQL Server.
- 3+ years of database development experience utilizing TSQL for creating database objects ie Tables, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers and Views.
- 3+ years of experience in database optimization and query optimization techniques including ability to read query execution plans.
- 3+ years of experience in designing database solutions for Very Large Databases (VLDBs).
- Strong knowledge of Security architecture of SQL Server 2005 and 2008.
- 3+ years of experience in writing efficient and scalable SQL queries and procedures.
- 3+ years of experience in developing and deploying efficient and scalable Integration Services (SSIS) packages.
- Experience in writing efficient.NET code either in C# or VB.NET. Preferred Qualifications MCITP in Database Development (2005 and 2008).
- Strong leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to drive results through others.
- 1-2 years' experience with SaaS model database systems is preferred.
- Understanding and experience with agile development principles is preferred.
- Experience working with remote teams.
