UX DESIGNER SEATTLE, WA 6 MONTH CONTRACT

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Serves as the functional expert for the employee digital experience for web/mobile, focused on SharePoint.
- Evaluates business and customer requirements, conducting primary and secondary research to evaluate need and define user experience approach.
- Creates personas, user stories and use cases to drive the design of user-centered solutions that meet measurable business goals and requirements.
- Develops design documentations including but not limited to process flows, wireframes, visual design mockups and prototypes to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors. A deep knowledge of web standards and browser features is critical.
- Works closely with cross functional team to ensure a smooth transition from discovery to design to development and finally QA in order to ship the highest of quality experience.
- Leads design reviews and specification reviews with audiences at various levels of the organization and with differing technical and product understanding.

SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE

- Experience producing interactive designs for digital interfaces (4 years)
- Design degree, human computer interaction degree preferred (5 years)
- Online portfolio or samples of work that reflect extensive experience and examples of requirements analysis, wireframes, screen flow diagrams and documentation of screen-level interactions required

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Proven efficiency and success working in an iterative, agile product development environment and working directly with developers on the implementation of designs
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to describe complex, interactive design concepts clearly
- Strong practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, web-based information architecture and design
- Ability to scope design initiatives accurately and prioritize work items appropriately
- Demonstrated ability to balance innovation and creative user design with the constraints of a project timeline, technical considerations, and business stakeholder concerns
- Proficiency with web design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Sketch, Visio, Omnigraffle, Axure as well as Illustrator
- Advanced interaction design and web technology skills (CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript) a plus
