User Interface (UI) Developer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a USER INTERFACE (UI) DEVELOPER to join our client in Kirkland, WA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

As one of the first members of this small team, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the next wave of interactive companion experiences in the gaming industry. If you have a passion for video games, elegant user interface design, and familiarity with consuming online services, this is the role for you!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- End to end application development utilizing JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS across multiple platforms; Xbox, Windows 8 and Windows Phone.
- Work with producers, artists, designers and team developers to help deliver an amazing user interface.
- Participate in an Agile, Test Driven Development environment with a focus on quality, performance and availability.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Three (3) plus years of experience with JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS, developing codebases stressing long-term maintainability
- Ability to push the limits of JS/HTML5 with an emphasis on animation systems and the presentation layer to create compelling user experiences
- Self-driven, strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work cross-group and cross-discipline
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with a proven record of building solid designs
- Experience building device apps and a familiarity with app certification processes
- Passionate about quality, usability and customer satisfaction

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- BS Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) is preferred
