User Interface (UI) Architect Job

UI ARCHITECT needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Chaska, MN.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Human Factors Engineering
- Software and Hardware Development of Medical Devices
- Interface Design

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Conduct user needs analysis, task flow analysis, interface design, usability testing, use error analysis, in an FDA regulated industry
- Participate in projects of moderate complexity, managing technical issues to a successful conclusion
- Support marketing and product development organizations by determining customer needs and requirements; Deliver task analysis and user error analysis
- Collaborate with team to define detailed user interface design
- Assist and/or develop the human machine interface (user experience) for next generation systems
- Plan and execute usability testing, analyze data, document results and present recommendations to product teams
- Use proven human factors methodologies and tools - recommend changes to improve the overall usability and ensure safe and reliable user experience
- Apply FDA human factors processes towards the development of medical devices and follows the guidelines of the FDA (eg IEC 62366, AAMI HE75)

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS in Engineering, Human Factors, Usability Engineering, Cognitive/Experimental Psychology, Industrial Design, Engineering Psychology or equivalent technical degree
- At least four (4) years of relevant human factors engineering experience
- At least two (2) years of experience in software and hardware development of medical devices.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with systems engineering, human factors, and usability engineering -preferably in the medical device industry
- Experience working in a regulated industry
- Expertise in one of the following: HMI Design, Graphic User Interface, User Interface Design, User Experience
