The Science and Technology Facilities Council is a world-leading multi-disciplinary science organisation, and our goal is to deliver economic, societal, scientific and international benefits to the UK and its people - and more broadly to the world. The Hartree Centre was funded through the e-Leadership council to work closely with industrial applications. Some of the work will be commercial in confidence and subject to IPR rules regarding public disclosure. The role will involve working closely with teams within commercial companies.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced web portal User Interface (UI) developer to join our team. You will be responsible for developing a number of web-based graphical user interfaces to a range of scientific/engineering applications on the Hartree Centre systems for use by non-expert HPC users.

The role will focus on commercial projects, including strong integration with the high performance computing and visualisation services (note: UI development and visualisation are different). As well as software development, there will be a role to assist in the creation of high quality user orientated information such as user-documents, training courses and web pages.
