User Interface Designer (French/Dutch/English)

Proteus Europe is searching for a User Interface Designer for a 3 month contract role based in Brussels, Belgium.
Languages: Fluent English and French/Dutch - atleast one active/one passive
Our Client:-
Our client is an international consultancy with a reputation for delivering on projects with their consultancy customers. You will join and be part of their team to ensure this current project is a complete success.
Your New role:-
Working Hours: 2-3 days/week for each application from Monday until Friday (7h36 per day)
Mission Duration:
40 days over 3 months (20 per application) with the option to stop the contract each 15 days, with one day notice. 2-3 days/week for each application in accordance with the consultant. The design of the interfaces of two applications must be done in parallel in order to provide quickly input to the respective business teams.
Deliverables:
o User Interface guidelines for CashSSP2, which will include, screens design according to different types of devices, (mobile, touch screens, desktop, ).
o User Interface guidelines for OneGate.
o All deliverables must be written in English.
Mission Details:
The mission will concern two applications, CashSSP2 and OneGate.
o In the context of the development of the new Java application CashSSP2, supporting the logistical management of the banknotes and coins (lodgements, withdrawals...), analyze, on the ground, the main business processes in order to propose a suitable user interface for this specific domain where repetitive and fast work and lots of physical movements of the personnel and of boxes are key characteristics.
o OneGate is an administrative web application collecting statistical data from 30,000 companies, banks and insurances companies. The interface will be rewritten using Angular framework enabling to answer the main expectations of user friendeliness. The screen designer will work in cooperation with the business analyst. Hes expected to deliver proposals of new layouts.
o The analysis will propose recommendations and interfaces design as regards the use of mobile devices (tablets, intelligent scanners...), touch screens and usual desktops, in a practical manner, ie. according to the workstations and functions used.
o The interface will have to follow the latest trends and when appropriate, should remain consistent with the NBBs User Interface guidelines and user interface development framework that are used to develop more usual/administrative applications. As CashSSP also includes administrative functions (management of reference data, accounting...), proposals for enhancing the User Interface guidelines, if appropriate, are results expected of the mission.
o This mission will be realized in cooperation and under the direction of the CashSSP and OneGate business teams and will require interactions with the IT department responsible for the development of the applications and of the development framework.
o The technical environment of CashSSP2 is Java + Java scripts for the user interface.
Your Skills and experience:- Essential Skills:-
Technical Knowledge:
o Analysis of business processes.
o Good knowledge of the latest trends in the user interface area and good knowledge of the different types of interaction devices (tablets, touch screen, desktop, intelligent scanners).
o Knowledge of user interface designing tool(s).
Experience:
o Extensive and hands-on experience as user interface designer for professional applications, facing different types of devices (mobile, tablets, intelligent scanners, desktop) and environments/situations (eg. administrative and banking applications, stock management,).
o Experience with user interface development frameworks.
Desirable Skills:-
o Extensive communication skills.
o Out-of-the-box thinker
