User Interface Designer

Do you have a talent for website design?

We are seeking a User Interface Website Designer who will work collaboratively with a team of Information Architects, Content Strategists, Business Analysts, User Researchers, as well as others from Creative, Technology and Strategy groups; to develop a concept and design for a new website rollout. We utilize industry best practices and design standards to define and implement user interfaces that effectively communicate to sales and support teams. We are seeking someone who has a firm understanding of graphic design processes and user experience principles for this role.

Key roles and responsibilities will include:

- Design complex, pixel-perfect interfaces and data visualizations for applications and websites
- Apply existing visual design patterns consistently and extend and document emerging patterns
- Create visual specs and maintain style guides
- Conduct visual design quality assurance and user acceptance testing
- Promote accessibility standards (ie 508 Compliance) and best practices internally and externally
- Collaborate both

internally and externally to understand user requirements - Conduct usability research to gather user requirements, analyze/recommend experience design
- Analyze and translate study results and user needs into a User Experience strategy for the web channel
- Create and validate prototypes with the user community
- Present decisions and alternate solutions based on user research, web analytics, and industry best practices
- Serve as a User Experience consultant resource within the company

REQUIREMENTS:

- 5+ years experience designing websites
- Bachelors of Arts Degree in Graphic design or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience and an advanced proficiency with design tools including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro)
- Ability to execute visual designs of complex transactional interfaces, taxonomies and metadata frameworks, and templates for content management systems
- 5+ years of experience creating innovative experience across web, mobile, tablet, social and DOOH channels
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel (10% or less)
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
