User Experience Visual Designer

Our high-visibility client is seeking a User Experience Designer to provide visually stunning ideas and designs for web and mobile applications.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design engaging UX interactions for the web and mobile
- Create user flows and high-fidelity pixel perfect mockups
- Analyze existing software (web and mobile) for Usability and Accessibility issues and provide recommendations for improvement
- Deliver user-centered design solutions in fast paced environment, with quick iterative cycles
- Work with a geographically diverse team of product owners, UX designers, developers
- Communicate effectively with engineers and problem solving UX issues

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors degree in Design-related field or equivalent training
- 2+ years of experience required in an agency or similar firm
- 2 years experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- 2 years of experience with OmniGraffle, Balsamic, and/or equivalent wireframing application
- 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office (including but not limited to PowerPoint and Excel)
- Proficiency in Windows and Mac
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze written requirements and visually conceptualize the user interface and application flows
- Ability to take creative direction and exercises independent judgment when needed to complete tasks
- Experience in design techniques and principals involved in the production of prototypes, wireframes and high-fidelity mock-ups
- Strong in illustration and visual design/communication arts
- Must sit onsite in Foster City

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

- Understanding of typography, type specification and typestyles
- Motion Graphics
- Icon/Logo Design
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Knowledge of UX Research
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture
- Knowledge of Corporate Branding Principles
