User Experience (UX) Architect

Yoh has a contract to hire opportunity for a UX INFORMATION ARCHITECT to join our client in Allen, Texas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with development teams, clients and product management teams to envision and design the user experience for a variety of digital applications
- Responsible for every aspect of user experience which includes the overall flow and layout of screens, the fields and information presented, the actions and interactions that are provided, and the visualization of the data.
- Use a systematic approach for gathering data and articulating findings to product stakeholders.
- Involved in solving workflow problems, developing new ways of presenting data, and determining what tools the client needs in their solution.
- Work with visual designers for overall stylistic guidance and provide UX best practices in design.
- Provide taxonomy recommendations and best practices.
- Create all documentation necessary to conduct usability analysis and heuristic reviews. Documents to include, but not limited to, stakeholder interview questions, scenario analysis, mental models, user flow diagrams, wireframes, summary of results and recommendations and other artifacts used in usability analysis.
- Lead in refining company process to incorporate user centered design in all aspects of design, development, testing.
- Work with clients and various business groups to understand project objectives and define product work flows.
- Develop personas and use cases.
- Perform UX evaluation, usability analysis and recommendations on all projects that involve user experience
- Develop a usability test plan which addresses the product usability objectives
- Facilitate usability sessions and focus groups to obtain user preferences and feedback when required
- Annotate user feedback to internal teams and clients
- Analyze and document results from usability and discovery sessions
- Provide analysis to results and make recommendations accordingly

Job Qualifications:

- Three (3) plus years of experience required
- Information architecture experience including ability to define and drive process
- Translates research and requirements into a vision that balances both user needs and business goals
- Ability to communicate effectively and to influence strategy, tactics and perceptions
- Strong and proven management and planning skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Able to establish and implement common processes among a diverse group
- Comfortable in a lead/agile environment
- eCommerce and enterprise level SAS experience

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

- Agency and consulting experience is a plus
