User Experience/User Interface Designer

For a major international client near Lausanne, we are looking for a:

USER EXPERIENCE/USER INTERFACE DESIGNER

to lead aspects of user experience and interface designs including: research, business & user needs analysis, wireframing, usability testing, high fidelity mockups and post-deployment. This client is working in the Health Sciences industry, and the ability to build strong links with all bioscientists, bioinformatics analysts and other software engineers in the organisation will be an advantage.

You will:

- Act as a user experience evangelist within diversely skilled project teams
- Align interactive and design initiatives with the business strategy
- Deliver effective experiences in partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the programs are communicated, supported and delivered to the highest standards
- Align business requirements, user centered design methodology and technology factors to help create low and high fidelity interactive prototypes for the purposes of validating business requirements and conducting usability testing
- Develop wireframes, screen-flow diagrams & UI specification documentation as needed
- Engage business and technical team stakeholders for feedback and validation
- Assist with validating and measuring user experience success via usability testing and post deployment evaluations
- Innovate: Build things that people will blog and Twitter about

Interested candidates must be able to demonstrate:

- 5-7 years background in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, Computer Science required with a portfolio demonstrating UX and UI work
- Proficient in one or some of the following applications and systems: Visio, Adobe Photoshop, Omni Graffle, QuarkXpress, Photoshop, Illustrator
- A solid understanding of user centered design principles
- Relentless attention to detail, a gifted eye for aesthetics, and the ability to quickly grasp and distill highly complex matters
- Demonstrated ability to define new approaches to complex design problems and convey solutions in the form of presentations, wireframes, click through prototypes, and design specifications

THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION FOR 6 MONTHS IN THE FIRST INSTANCE, WITH AN INTERNATIONAL CLIENT, WHOSE WORKING LANGUAGE IS ENGLISH. THE CLIENT IS LOCATED MINUTES IN LAUSANNE. INFO-TECH WILL PROVIDE ADVICE AND SUPPORT THROUGH YOUR RELOCATION IF YOU ARE WORKING IN SWITZERLAND FOR THE FIRST TIME.
