User Experience Researcher (French and Dutch are a plus)

Our banking client is looking to grow its experience design team and is specifically looking for a User Researcher to create and optimise services together with its members. It is a team on a journey. You will use your experience and your passion to help the team shape where to go and how to get there.

Description

Role and responsibilities

Establish user research as a pillar of strategic design and optimisation activities
Be responsible to make the users' voice more visible, measurable and valuable for all teams of the organisation
Help driving a human centred strategic design approach and co-creation framework
Support other team members and stakeholders
Be a key ambassador for the specific methods to use, the key principles and tools of the trade
Work as a member in a multidisciplinary experience design team
Report to the experience manager for used methods, key principles, tools and deliverables

Tasks

Lead user research and deliver actionable insights by setting up ethnography studies, interviews, co-creation workshops, usability tests, neuro-tests and other research activities, together with partner agencies when required.
Work closely with analytics and performance experts to understand behaviours, the setup of success criteria and their measurement
Work closely with designers to guide strategy, information architecture and optimisations
Facilitate or coordinate the synthesis process to uncover insights and identify opportunities,
Develop processes, frameworks, templates and tools to improve the user research practice in the organisation
Drive initiatives and tools that promote the users' voice in relevant ways so that teams can help solve pain points rapidly and increase satisfaction
Mentor team members in all aspects of user research

Education

Bachelor/Master or equivalent by experience

Required knowledge/Experience

+5 years experience in user research
+5 years of experience in a user research role where insights and design closely collaborated
A theoretical and practical knowledge of human centred design methods
Experience with gathering business needs and objectives
A strong toolbox of user research skills, tools and techniques for qualitative and quantitative studies
Able to summarise and present insights clearly for strategy and design teams
Experience with information architecture best practices.
Experience with presentation tools to create emotional and persuasive presentations
Experience in the fields of psychology, sociology, ethnography, behavioural economics, neuromarketing or design is a plus
Outstanding stakeholder management, workshop planning and facilitation skills
Outstanding stakeholder management, workshop planning and facilitation skills
A theoretical and practical knowledge of human centred design methods
Fluent in written and verbal English, with preferably one additional language (French or Dutch)

Personal Qualities:

A natural storyteller who can both verbally and visually create engagement with management and design teams
An empathic mind that wants to work in team to learn but also teach
Experience in financial services industry, preferably fintechs
Experience with UX in Agile or Lean environments.
