User Experience Designer Job

USER EXPERIENCE DESIGNER needed for a LONG-TERM CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Charlotte, NC.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSITION DOES NOT ALLOW FOR WORKING REMOTELY, AS SUCH THE INCUMBENT MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE IN CLIENT'S CHARLOTTE, NC LOCATION.

MUST BE CURRENTLY ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE US FOR ANY EMPLOYER.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- UX Design experience
- Solid communication- ability to facilitate customer meetings

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- In order to support the consolidation between Progress and Duke Energy, a web application designer position is available in the Transmission Project Controls team.
- We are looking for a user experience designer with strong interests and capabilities in the design and development of engaging user experiences.
- The ideal candidate will have to be able to: work as part of a team, collaborate with others, and effectively communicate to their team lead and project management in both verbal and written formats.
- Following a software implementation methodology, adhering to all required deliverables within the individual's responsibility and each project phase
- Extracting input from product owners to formulate a design that meets business needs
- Facilitation of workshops and design sessions, and authoring of Functional Design Documents
- Creating wireframes as well as visual design comps within a design tool.
- Identifying and document test cases, objects and structures, attributes and operations, classes and methods, sequence diagrams, and data modelling.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Experience with Enterprise Architect or similar platform for designing and documenting software designs in UML.
- Experience with user interface design patterns for the web.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with report design a plus.
