User Experience Architect

We have a 6 MONTH contract opportunity working in our Leeds office, where we are hiring a USER EXPERIENCE ARCHITECT.

We are happy to have junior or more experienced people apply.

At the junior level you will be responsible for information architecture, interaction design and user research for mobile websites/applications, websites, and rich Internet applications that improve web sales conversion, increase customer loyalty, and satisfaction for all Premier Farnell online properties.

At the more senior level the user experience architect will be responsible for user research and information architecture for mobile/websites/applications, websites, and rich Internet applications that enhance web sales conversion, increase customer loyalty, and satisfaction for all Premier Farnell online properties.

Our ideal junior candidate will have:

- user experience design, information architecture, eCommerce design, or interactive design.
- BFA/BA/BS or MS in interaction design, HCI Cognitive Science, or related.
- Must be a strong customer advocate that is able to balance customer requirements with business needs and technical limitations.
- Good understanding of technologies for building websites and mobile apps
- Familiarity with implementing W3C and section 508 standards

For the more senior candidates you will need to have all of the above plus:

- Experience with one or more enterprise E-commerce platforms (WebSphere, ATC, Hybris) is considered an asset.
- Good understanding of the technical limitations and advantages of jQuery/Dojo/JavaScript/DHTML and CSS
- Familiarity with engineering or electronics industry would be an asset
