User Acceptance Testing Analyst (UAT)

User Acceptance Test (UAT) Analyst - Leeds - 12 months

Capita Asset Services provides fund administration and investor services to internal and external clients. There is an opening within our central Leeds based team for a User Acceptance Test (UAT) Analyst on a 12 month fixed-term contract.

This position incorporates three key elements; UAT support and analysis, MI reporting and general assistance to the Management team. The responsibilities of the UAT Analyst will be split roughly as follows but will not be limited to the tasks indicated:

UAT Analysis (40%)

* Creating UAT Test Scripts using a Step by Step approach
* Creating Test Scripts from Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and other sources
* Liaise with Capita business areas in order to prepare and assist test volunteers for testing
* Attending workshops to discuss the design and development of the test approach for new projects
* Coaching and supervising of test volunteers drawn from various areas
* Relay any issues to the UAT Manager
* Aid the UAT Manager in the preparation and execution of UAT Projects.

Management Information (40%)

* Prepare and issue management information, as agreed.
* Maintain appropriate quality control and checking processes around the management information, to ensure accuracy.
* Co-ordinate the month end reporting cycle within agreed timescales.

General (20%)

* Provide regular updates on all activities.
* Escalate issues, as appropriate, to the Senior Manager.
* Assist the Senior Manager (Retail Operations), as required.
* For areas of responsibility, ensure:
1. Emerging risks are identified, assessed and captured within the departmental risk register and, where appropriate, subject to escalation to senior management.
2. Operational controls are carried out in accordance with the laid down business policies and procedures.
3. Actions for control improvements are dealt with in accordance with agreed timescales.
4. Proactively identifying areas for control improvement.

To be considered for this opportunity, we are looking for candidates who explicitly have the following experience:

* Supervision of others ensuring targets are met
* Interaction with users with varying skill sets
* Test Script Creation
* Test Data Creation
* Familiarity with UAT/ System Test Methodology.
* Familiarity with creating Test Scripts

In conjunction with the above, the following skills and experience would be highly beneficial an application made:

* Financial Services experience, in particular collective investments, fund administration / management
* Meeting and Workshop facilitation
* Testing Background

We are looking to recruit a UAT Analyst who also has the following personal attributes:

* Good communication and verbal skills.
* Ability to negotiate with other teams.
* Can work unsupervised
* Able to use, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
* Analytical skills with the ability to analysis information and break it down in smaller sections.
* Well organised, good time management
* Problem solving
