USABILITY RESEARCHER BELLEVUE, WA CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY

DESCRIPTION:

You will be leading execution of field research and assisting with qualitative data analysis under the supervision of a User Researcher. Your primary focus will be conducting remote customer interviews via Lync using a semi-structured protocol to deeply understand email behaviors in enterprise settings. Interviews will be followed by management and data analysis of a 7 day diary study for all participants. Following the provided protocol, you'll be responsible for capturing detailed notes on the customers feedback and capturing high quality video from the sessions. On the same day of the interview you'll summarize the data into the format requested, providing summary observations and comments. As appropriate you'll help to distill and extract insight from sessions. you'll also be managing and compiling data from the diary study, creating the survey, structuring outputs, and doing qualitative data analysis, organization and visual presentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of 2 years related experience in user research and usability testing for software
- Demonstrated experience interacting with customers and collecting data in a field environment
- Ability to perform independent research and summarize data, as well as work as a member of a team
- Excellent communication skills are required: both written and verbal are essential for interactions with both customers and product team
- Passion for user-centered design and the user experience of software, and a thorough knowledge of the process
- Ability to meet deadlines in fast paced environment
- Experience with usability recording/note taking using tools such as OneNote, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and demonstrated ability to learn new tools quickly
- Experience with Datastat Illume a plus
- Master's Degree in Psychology or Human Factors or a related field preferred
- All work will be conducted from Bellevue offices
- Must have flexible availability on evenings during the phase of interviews (expected to last 2 weeks).
