Urgent 6 Month Contract DBA role in the Hague

The client I am recruiting for are looking for an IT professional to work on a large project in Europe. A database administrator will be unifying various databases over the course of 6 months so all the relevant information can be accessed through one central database. You will be installing, maintaining and servicing the existing database.

- Report to the Mainframe Operating Systems Manager
- 2+ years of z/OS database administration experience using either C++, C or Java
- Provide support for the zOS operating systems
- Install and maintain zOS operating system and associated components
- Implement projects to customize operating system software to support the customer environment.
- Provide programming support for the customer MVS exits and in-house written system programs.
- Provide technical support to the customer Application Development organization.
- Provide technical support to Data Center Operations
- Coordinate hardware and software installations in the customer Data Centers.
- Provide technical justifications for hardware and software upgrades
- Work closely with hardware and software vendors regarding problem resolution and regarding new products and services.
- Provide management reports regarding the MVS systems as necessary.

LENGTH 6 MONTHS (POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION)

RATE: €360 PER DAY

START DATE: IMMEDIATE
