Unix Systems Administrator - Redhat or Solaris - English Speaking cont

For a global bank based here in Zürich we are looking for 3 x Senior UNIX Administrator to join the team of 6 in Zürich (more off shore).

OVERVIEW:

Installation, Deployment and Operation of UNIX/Linux infrastructure for several business units.Technical Unix 2nd Level Support.

KEY DELIVERABLES:

- Level 2 Support (Incident-, Problem-, Change-Management) of high available Solaris/Linux-based server systems and integration of software components.
- Operation of test-, integration and production-infrastructure for Sun Solaris and Red Head Linux (RHEL) based applications.
- Planning and execution of maintenance on UNIX/Linux systems, including deployment of new operating system releases and Layer 2 (Middleware) components.
- Support for integration of new systems and products, including support for projects through all environments from test to production.
- Installation, configuration and root cause analysis with storage management tools (VxVM, VxFS)
- Quality assurance and acceptance tests for UNIX/Linux systems, standard builds and software components
- Root cause analysis and implementation of sustainable solutions
- Support for Life Cycle projects
- Execute disaster recovery (DR) tests in cooperation with application support teams
- Create, revise and update technical documentation
- On-call support (7x24h) for Unix Operations team

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

- Change the bank:
- Support project managers for implementation of new application solutions, including technical support
- Quality management, operation level management

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Completed apprenticeship in Information Technology or adequate education
- AT LEAST 5-8 YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE IN SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION OF SUN SOLARIS OR RED HAT LINUX SYSTEMS IN LAGER ENVIRONMENTS
- Attendance to 7x24h On-Call support
- Attendance to weekend work and work outside office hours
- Practical experience in Incident-, Problem and Change Management, including root cause analysis
- Knowhow in system administration of Veritas Cluster Systems
- Strong analytical and strategic abilities with solid implementation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work and communicate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders
- Fluent in English (spoken and written). German language skills are an advantage.
- Knowledge and/or experience in Naming Services (NIS), Systems Management Tools (eg BMC Patrol, ITSM 7, ServiceNow), Virtualization (LDOM/VMWare), Scripting (Shell/Perl) and ITIL V3 is an advantage
