Unix System Administrator - Secret Clearance Job

UNIX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR - SECRET CLEARANCE needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in New Orleans, LA.

POSSESSION OF SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED AS A CONDITION FOR EMPLOYMENT.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Clearance: MUST HAVE a Secret w/SSBI Clearance
- Cert Required: Security + CE or CISSP

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Systems management expertise, including alert/event management automated job scheduling, storage
- Knowledge of current and evolving DoD information assurance initiatives, regulations, policies, procedures and guidance.
- The system administrator seeks to ensure that the uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computers he or she manages meet the needs of the users, without exceeding the budget.
- To meet these needs, a system administrator may acquire, install, or upgrade computer components and software; provide routine automation; maintain security policies; troubleshoot; train and/or supervise staff; or offer technical support for projects
- Install new/rebuild existing Servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
- Install and configure systems such as supports GIS infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications.
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
- Contribute to and maintain system standards.
- Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- High school Diploma or higher
- Ten (10) years minimum UNIX OS System Admin experience
- EMC DMX and Clarion
- Sun enterprise grade server and storage area network operations including E25K Servers and M Series clusters
- Windows system administration
- Network troubleshooting and configuration, including load balancing such as F5 Big IP a plus
