For a project at our client's site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced

UNIX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR - REDHAT LINUX/SOLARIS 8/10 (5633)

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL DELIVER THIRD LEVEL SUPPORT OF ORACLE SOLARIS AND RED HAT LINUX DISTRIBUTED SERVER ENVIRONMENT LIAISING WITH REGIONAL AND GLOBAL COUNTERPARTS. THIS ROLE REQUIRES PARTICIPATION IN WEEKEND/EVENING WORK AND AN ON-CALL SERVICE.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ YEARS' EXPERIENCE IN SUPPORTING UNIX BASED DISTRIBUTED COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT WITH A LARGE NUMBER OF SERVERS
- SOLID UNDERSTANDING OF UNIX-BASED OPERATING SYSTEMS BOTH REDHAT LINUX AND SOLARIS 8/10 ARE REQUIRED
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as VMWare as well as networking skills
- Skills with some at least 2 of the following products are mandatory: VERITAS FOUNDATION SUITE, VERITAS CLUSTER SERVER, REDHAT LINUX CLUSTER SERVER, SUN CLUSTER
- Ability to write scripts in administrative languages (for examples. Tk, Perl, ksh, sh, csh)
- Knowhow in computing and storage environment concepts and technologies - LAN, WAN, routing protocols, NFS, DNS, NIS, LDAP, SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, etc.
- EXCELLENT VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS IN ENGLISH

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead/participate in infrastructure project
- Third Level Support of Oracle Solaris and Red Hat Linux distributed server environment liaising with regional and global counterparts
- Understand business priorities; adequately prioritize work accordingly to meet business objectives
- Drive for improvements and implement them on a regional or global scale
- Communicate and collaborate with other internal partners for designing, planning, and coordination of implementation to ensure work is completed in a timely manner
- You will be expected to drive the execution of innovative solutions
- Write technical documentation for related infrastructure and installs
