Unix System Admin

Unix System Admin wanted for our Zurich based client in the banking sector.

YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- 5+ years' working experience in supporting distributed computing environment based on UNIX with large number of Servers
- Profound background in UNIX-based operating systems especially Solaris 10 and Solaris 11 including zones, Veritas foundation suite, Veritas Cluster Server and Redhat Linux Cluster Server
- Know-how in distributed computing, networking, storage environment concepts and technologies like LAN, WAN, routing protocols, Kerberos, NFS, DNS, NIS, LDAP, SAN, NAS as well as Fibre Channel
- Expertise in writing scripts with administrative languages like Shell, Perl or Python
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken

YOUR TASKS:

- Planning and performing Solaris 11 migrations from Unix perspective
- Providing Third Level Support for Oracle Solaris 10, Solaris 11 and Redhat in a distributed server environment
- Working with regional and global counterparts along with implementing and improving the scale
- Collaborating with the internal partners for designing and planning
- Creating documentations in regards to the migration and technologies
- Implementing automations with strategic tools within the company
