Unix Security Engineer

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A UNIX SECURITY ENGINEERFOR MY CLIENT BASED INBRUSSELS, BELGIUM.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Participating in the writing of security guidelines for UNIX systems (AIX & Solaris, Linux)

Proposing and implementing solutions to enhance security

Having a global view of the security level in your domain

Editing risk analyses and security cases for communication with external parties

Coordinating resolutions of complex security deficiencies (incident follow up, audit, penetration tests )

Watching over the correct implementation of security related operational activities

Participating in projects as security expert

TECHNICAL COMPETENCES:

Broad ICT knowledge including Linux, AIX, Solaris

Broad information security knowledge (incident handling, security engineering, policies )

Knowledge of malware and advanced persistent threats

Minimum bachelor degree in an IT related area

ITIL V3 -Incident and Problem management process knowledge

NON TECHNICAL COMPETENCES:

Highly customer oriented and who has an excellent service attitude

Analytical and has a synthetic turn of mind

Excellent communicator, who can be assertive towards multiple stakeholders

Organized and who follows a problem-solving and results-oriented approach

Excellent written and spoken knowledge of English, knowledge of Dutch and/or French
