One of our blue chip clients is urgently looking for a Unix Linux Systems Administrator for a long term project in Paris.

Job Description:

The qualified candidate will join a team that is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of a highly available and secure UNIX/Linux Enterprise environment.

This environment consists of 250 of Linux (RHEL 5.6) and Solaris Servers. The qualified candidate will be responsible for deployment of secure OS images, Middleware packaging and installation, investigation, resolution of Unix/Linux server related issues and incidents. The candidate will also be required to deploy and implement enhancements that will improve the reliability, maintainability, and performance of the system and its infrastructure. In accordance with customer's security policies and directives, the candidate will deploy, maintain, and enhance the security of Servers through administrative, preventive, detective, and reactive controls, such as change and configuration management, anti-virus measures, patch management, and system scans. Be able to work in a high-available and secure Unix environment, and be able to pass and receive work for global peers in different time zones. Candidate should be self-motivated, a good team player, possess good communications skills, and be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

SKILL REQUIRED:

- Experience on Linux and Solaris administration in a large enterprise setting.
- Knowledge on NFS, NTP, DNS
- OS Hardening and Performance Tuning
- Knowledge on Kernel Configuration
- Experience in TiNa, autosys, CFT tools
- Knowledge of APACHE/PHP, WebSphere and JBOSS, MQ
- Experience in Oracle Database administration
- Exposure on OVO, Nagios tools
- Experience in one or more Scripting languages desired
- Experience working with helpdesk ticketing applications like Remedy
- Ability to create and maintain positive and professional business relationship with both internal associates and external customers.

- Able to lead discussions with client personnel
- Able to express concepts and provided information clearly and concisely
- Able to articulate troubleshooting questions clearly

EXPERIENCE:

- At least 2-5 years' experience in UNIX systems administrator role
- Technical certification and technology specific study
