Unix/Linux Administrator- Big Data & Hadoop Clusters Experience

Unix / Linux Systems Administrator with Big Data and Hadoop clusters expertise wanted for our Zurich based client in the banking sector. Your experience/skills: Several years´ experience managing Hadoop clusters, ideally CDH 5+ (e.g. HDFS, YARN, Spark, HBase, Cloudera Manager) Solid experience in Linux/Unix administration, ideally RHEL 6.5+ in a mixed Windows/Linux environment Very good understanding of hardware, network & security issues inherent to distributed/clustered systems Good understanding of Active Directory & Kerberos integration Experience supporting multi tenant/multi project environments as well as open source monitoring, configuration and deployment tools (e.g. Nagios, Graphite/Grafana, SaltStack) Good scripting skills (e.g. bash, Python) and experience with SQL is beneficial Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German would be a big plus Your tasks: Operating and administrating a big data platform (50+ servers) Integrating and maintaining security controls and platform tooling Evaluating and integrating new big data and data science technologies Consulting application groups on how to utilise the platform and technologies Engagement with teams for PoCs and full project on boarding Start: 12/2016 Duration: 12MM++ Location: Zurich, Switzerland Ref.Nr.: BH9825 Does that sound interesting?
