Senior Systems Linux Administrator - Kernal Unix - 6 months contract

A Senior Systems Linux Administrator is urgently needed for our London City client based on a 6 months contract with the potential to extend. You must have a minimum of 2 years experience the ability to work on your own initiative, make decisions, multi- task on your own initiative and be able to assume responsibility as and when the situation arises. Being highly organised is essential for the role with the capability of producing reports and technical documentation for ad hoc projects, meeting designated timescales.

Key Skills needed include:

* Full Linux System Administration Duties on a Debian/ Ubuntu Server Platform.

*Ability to set deadlines, completing work within designated set deadlines and produce documentation for all systems.

* Complete OS Management required including: Installing, Optimising and Monitoring.

* Familiar with a number of the following: Apache, Blind, Samba, Kolab, Exim, Nagios, Postgres, MySQL.

* Installation, configuration and maintenance of Kernal and software packages.
