Amoria Bond is looking for a Senior UNIX Engineer for a client in Amsterdam, the contract is for a period of 4 months. The client is growing rapidly, and are expanding because of this. They are looking for the very best IT professionals.

Responsibilities will be preparing and implementing a Datacenter move. There is urgency since this has to be done before the end of the year. The successful Unix Engineer/Consultant will take a lead role in the project, and make an analysis of what needs to be done, plan the Datacenter move and execute it. This means preparing (with the team) the cabling, security issues, labelling, administrating etc.

The successful engineer needs to have excellence in Linux (Red Hat/Debian/SUN/) and HPUX, and be a very strong communicator and coordinator. The communication is particularly important since it is necessary to do a full analyses of the old Datacenter (40-50 Servers) for it to be moved to the new one (hundreds of Servers). Experience in migrations as these are a plus, just as certifications and knowledge in Windows, VMware and Backup.
