Unix Analyst / Developer (m/w)

- performance analysis and design of action recommendations

in UNIX environment and AIX on Power Systems, Linux under
X86 and Solaris
- conceptual design and implementation of standards for high performant system solutions
- support and consulting in relevant technologies and performance issues
- support of Data Center in specific performance analysis
- support of developers and end users in performance analysis of solutions

(main focus on SAP or Oracle)
- dump analysis, kernel debugging, analysis of system traces
- action recommendation, tuning measurements with respect to cost-effective criteria

and SLA requirements
- development of methods and tools for proactive performance management
- development and support in end-to-end performance
- implementation of projected solutions into operations
- quality assurance of existing solutions
- release management
- 2nd level support for used solutions

ANFORDERUNG:
- expert know how in operating systems AIX and Linux (SLES, RHEL), AIX Perfstat

API programming, Linux and Solaris libstagrab programming
- good know how in Solaris
- good know how in connected technologies such as SAP, Oracle, WAS Web Application Server,

network, storage, SAN
- long term experience in consulting and application development to data center and data base specialists

and end users
- experienced in script programming in Perl
- web programming with CGI and mod_perl
- web site design with Cascading Stylesheets, HTML and Javascript
- experienced handling of established development tools such as Compiler (cc)

and version control (git)
- RRDtool: basic concepts and programmming in Perl and C
- programming in Ruby
- web programming Ruby on Rails professional
- experienced in IBM system p. virtualization and Virtual-IO server (VIO)

on IBM POWER5, POWER6, and POWER7 servers
- expertise in UNIX system programming / network programming in C
- nice to have: know how/experience in virtualization by VM Ware

and long-term experience in analysis and fixing of performance issues in UNIX environment

- language skill: German, English
