UNITED WAY COORDINATOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in CREVE COEUR, MO.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communications skills

- Excellent time-management skills and organizational ability, Ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks and projects
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines with constantly changing requirements

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Partner with Company's United Way co-Chairs to implement campaign strategy and meet campaign objectives.
- Set agenda and assist in bi-monthly meetings of Executive Briefings of Co-Chairs, Core Team, Canvasser, Events, Auction, Golf, and other Sub-Committees
- Partner with Sub-Committees to ensure events deliver campaign awareness and fund raising objectives
- Work with Business Leaders and Canvasser Team to secure and train approximately 300 Campaign Captains/Canvassers.
- Partner with internal communication team to ensure effective campaign communications.
- Monitor internal United Way as well as personal mailbox routinely and respond to questions during e-Pledge, canvassing and auction
- Manage meeting planning elements for a variety of internal clients as directed by Meeting Services Manager or Meeting & Event Planner Supervisor
- Develop supplier contracts as directed by the Meeting Services Manager or Meeting & Event Planner Supervisor
- Conduct initial informational meetings with the client to ascertain the purpose, who the audience is, and overall objective and requirements for the meeting
- Manage the logistical planning of the meeting by identifying the client's needs and creating an implementation plan to include: meeting setup, creative and fiscally responsible solutions, registration requirements, meeting setup, audio visual requirements, technology requirements, food and beverage requirements
- Exhibit fiscal management by negotiating on behalf of the client, maintain and analyze meeting budgets, manage the room block to avoid attrition, and produce meeting closeout summary reports
- Maintain industry relationships and industry knowledge by meeting with hotel representatives, attending industry events, attending educational conferences, conducting site inspections, and staying current on industry Web sites and periodicals
- Manage meeting/event within budget with emphasis on cost savings

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Five (5) years of dedicated meeting and event planning experience.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred- in Hospitality a plus

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Past experience with United Way Campaigns
- A customer service based mind would be helpful.
