Unified Communications Engineer

My client a leading consultancy based in Geneva is looking for a Unified Communications Engineer.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
- The role of the Unified Communications Engineer is to provide subject matter expertise for unified communications, including telephony and audio/video conferencing, and their integration with network and desktop services. He/she ensures effective delivery and support for these services, and implementation and maintenance of associated systems and infrastructure.
EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH:
- Cisco network, unified communications and conferencing systems, including tools to manage a multi-site videoconferencing service.
- Familiarity with common VoIP software such as Jabber, Lync, Skype and an understanding of how to InterconnecT these services with the client infrastructure.
-Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP internetworking in the LAN and WAN environment, and related services.
- Excellent knowledge and experience delivering and optimizing quality of voice and video over IP on a corporate networks (LAN/WAN) and the Internet.
-Advanced understanding of different VoIP signalling protocols such as SIP and H323, and integrating these protocols into a single service.
-Ability to integrate Internet corporate videoconferencing bridging services into the client service portfolio.
-Able to effectively support many systems and users. Adaptability and flexibility for working in complex and changing environment and under pressure
-Creativity in approach to new challenges, both technological and organizational.
-Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in computer science, engineering, or information management, or related discipline.
- Relevant professional training and/or certification related to Cisco networking and unified communications.
EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the field of networking, telephony and audio/video-conferencing, of which at least 3 years of recent experience supporting multi-site Cisco network and unified communications environment and services. Significant experience working with geographically distributed stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Experience integrating Cisco UC and Microsoft Skype for Business environments. Experience working in a large national, multi-national or international organization.
Use of Language Skills:
- Expert knowledge in English.
- Basic knowledge in French (Desireable)
