UNDERWRITING ASSISTANT

BRINE SA is currently seeking for an Underwriting Assistant, to report to the Head of Liability.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

-

Consistent preparation of high quality submission data for the underwriting process.
-

Maintain an organize and complete underwriting support filing system (paper and electronic), ensuring suitable documentation for both internal and external audit
-

Preparation work related to underwriting, risk assessment, exposure data, business planning and portfolio monitoring
-

Assist in monitoring business reporting and analysis
-

Utilizing various software tools to capture and summarize underwriting information
-

Ad hoc project work

REQUIRED EXPERTISE/KNOWLEDGE:

-

The ability to work within a multi-functional underwriting team
-

Strong Microsoft Office skills
-

Good communication skills with the ability to work in a dynamic environment
-

The candidate needs to have the ability to deliver high standards in data quality in their day to day work. The position would be interesting for candidates who have a flare for working with numbers.

Be fluent in English and German. French and Spanish language skills would be decidedly beneficial
-

Prior experience in reinsurance underwriting support is desirable
-

Prior exposure to reinsurance or insurance would be advantageous
-

Former working experience with the SiCS reinsurance system would be desirable
